Choosing a pellet size

Pellet grade does not change the food — same formula, same guaranteed analysis. It only changes the size of the pellet, so you match it to the mouth of the fish.

  • Medium (5.0–5.5 mm) — suits most koi from tosai upward. The usual choice.
  • Large (7.5–8.5 mm) — for jumbo fish that take a bigger mouthful and waste less energy feeding.
