Our story begins with a lifelong fascination with fishkeeping—an interest passed down through generations and nurtured over time. Even from a young age, Zachary Murray, our founder, was drawn to koi—their color, their movement, and their almost meditative presence in the water.

That passion eventually took him to Japan, where he lived for three years on a small southern island and became fluent in the language. Later, while studying at Ritsumeikan University in Kyoto, his connection to koi deepened in a way that shaped the rest of his career. Surrounded by traditional gardens, temples, and centuries of koi culture, he began to see koi not just as fish—but as living symbols of beauty, balance, and discipline.

What had always been an interest became a clear direction. That experienceshaped the foundation of our company’s philosophy: koi deserve to be understood, respected, and cared for at the highest level.

Today, that philosophy is carried forward by our entire team. Based in Miami, our staff brings together a shared commitment to excellence in koi care, pond design, and customer support.
