Aqua Meds Medzyme Dry Concentrate

Medzyme Dry Concentrate is the product we put in our own quarantine tanks and recommend for every koi pond in South Florida. It is a 100% natural blend of Bacillus bacteria at over 1 billion CFU per gram that out-competes the Aeromonas and Pseudomonas behind ulcers, fin rot and tail rot. Fewer harmful bacteria in the water means fewer infections after netting, shipping, spawning or a temperature swing, and it sharpens up your biofilter at the same time. No chemicals, no antibiotics, and it works in water as cold as 40°F.

How to use it

Dissolve the dose in a container of pond water (never tap water) and spread it over the surface with good aeration. For a pond up to 2,500 gallons: 1 tablespoon every 3 days for 3 treatments, then 1 tablespoon weekly for 2 weeks, then a half tablespoon every other week for maintenance. For 5,000 to 10,000 gallons, double those amounts. Turn the UV off for the first three treatments. If you have just used an antibiotic or a harsh chemical, do a partial water change and triple the maintenance dose for two weeks.
