Aqua Meds Aqua Prazi

Aqua Prazi is 100% praziquantel powder, the gentlest effective treatment for gill flukes, body flukes and internal tapeworms in koi and goldfish. It is the one we recommend for new arrivals and for ponds with sensitive or scaleless fish, because it does not touch pH or hardness and is safe for biofilters when used as directed.

How to use it

One gram treats 100 gallons. Do a 10% water change, pull any carbon from the filter and switch off the UV for 24 to 48 hours. Add the powder to a quart of pond water, shake hard for 3 to 5 minutes, pour that into a 4 to 5 gallon bucket of pond water and distribute it around the pond edge or into the skimmer. Two treatments work best: the first kills the live flukes, and a second treatment 3 days later catches the young as they hatch. Hold off on water changes for seven days from the first dose. It works best in water above 60°F, which in Miami is most of the year.
