Aqua Meds Medzyme Liquid 16 oz

Medzyme Liquid is the liquid version of Medzyme Dry Concentrate: 760 million beneficial bacteria per millilitre that starve out the Aeromonas and Pseudomonas responsible for ulcers, fin rot and tail rot. It is the easiest way to keep harmful bacteria counts down after you add new fish, after a parasite treatment, or through the cool spells when koi immune systems slow down. It works at 40°F and up, contains no chemicals or antibiotics, and is safe for filters, plants, pets and wildlife.

How to use it

Initial treatment: 4 teaspoons (20 mL) per 1,000 gallons every 3 days for 3 treatments, with the UV off for those first three doses. Then 4 teaspoons per 1,000 gallons weekly for 2 weeks. Maintenance is 2 teaspoons (10 mL) per 1,000 gallons once a week. In cold water, increase the dose: 1.5 times between 50 and 62°F, and double between 40 and 49°F.

Coverage

This 16 oz bottle treats 24,000 to 48,000 gallons depending on dose, which is a full season of maintenance on a typical 2,000 to 3,000-gallon koi pond. Keeps two years at room temperature or three years refrigerated.
