Aqua Meds Terminate

Terminate is a malachite green (chloride) and formalin treatment for the parasites that salt will not shift: Costia, Chilodonella, Ich, Trichodina and Oodinium, plus external fungus on skin and fins. When a koi has a grey film over the skin, clamped fins and is sitting at the bottom, this is usually what it needs. Dosed correctly it is safe for scaleless koi and for your biofilter.

How to use it

Standard course: 100 mL per 1,000 gallons, three times, about 24 hours apart, with a 25% or larger water change before each dose. For an urgent case there is an accelerated protocol at 10 to 12 hour intervals with the same water changes between doses. Turn off the UV, remove carbon and chemical media, keep aeration strong, and make sure any salt in the pond is at 0.05% or below before you start. Avoid sulfoxylate or ammonia-binding dechlorinators during treatment. Usable in water down to 50°F.

Sizes and coverage

• 16 oz treats 1,600 gallons
• 32 oz treats 3,200 gallons
• 128 oz (1 gallon) treats 12,800 gallons

Terminate will not clear flukes; pair it with Aqua Prazi or FlukeGuard if a scrape shows both. For ornamental fish only. If you are treating a pond for the first time, call us and we will walk you through the water changes.
