Aqua Meds H2O Neutralizer

H2O Neutralizer is a super-concentrated liquid conditioner that neutralizes chlorine, chloramine, ammonia, nitrite and nitrate without changing pH. It is the bottle to keep by the hose: for new pond fills, routine water changes, and emergencies when a test kit shows ammonia or nitrite climbing and you need to make the water safe while you fix the cause.

How to use it

One teaspoon (5 mL) per 50 gallons of water. Add it to the tap water as it goes in, before it reaches the fish. In a high-toxin situation the dose can be increased up to five times within a 24-hour period. Keep circulation and aeration strong, because heavy dosing can lower dissolved oxygen. A faint sulfur smell right after dosing is normal and clears quickly.

Like other ammonia-binding conditioners it will throw off Nessler-type ammonia tests, so use a salicylate kit. Avoid combining it with other chemical treatments unless you know they are compatible.
