Aqua Meds Dechlor And More

DeChlor & More is a dry dechlorinator that instantly removes chlorine, chloramines and ammonia. Miami tap water is treated with chloramine, which does not gas off the way plain chlorine does, so every water change and every top-up needs a conditioner that breaks the chloramine bond. This one also strips the ammonia that is released when it does, which is why we use it during big water changes and when a filter is struggling. It contains no zinc, will not harm the beneficial bacteria in your filter, and is compatible with pond and fish medications.

How to use it

One level scoop (1.5 oz, included) treats 353 gallons. Mix the dose into 2 to 3 gallons of pond water and distribute it around the pond before you add fresh tap water. The dose can be increased for extra ammonia removal, for example after an ammonia spike or while a new filter matures.

Sizes and coverage

• 2 lb treats 7,530 gallons
• 5 lb treats 18,825 gallons
• 24 lb for large ponds and service work

One note on testing: water treated with DeChlor & More will give a false reading on Nessler-type ammonia tests. Use a salicylate kit such as the API ammonia test. Safe for pets, plants and wildlife. Store cool and dry.
