MIZU Support

Clean your MIZU™ filter at least once a week — or sooner if return flow drops.

⚠ CAUTION
ALWAYS turn the pump OFF before moving the valve handle.
Never run the blower and the pump at the same time.  ·  Max working pressure 35 PSI.

Routine Cleaning

  1. Turn the pump OFF.
  2. (BLOWER) Set the valve to BACKWASH. Run the blower for 10–15 seconds to break up the media bed, then switch the blower off.
  3. (BLOWER) Set the valve to RINSE. Run the blower until only air comes out and no more water drains from the filter. Blower off — the filter is now empty.
  4. (PUMP) Set the valve to BACKWASH. Start the pump and run until the filter fills back up, water flows out the backwash line, and the sight glass runs clear. Turn the pump OFF.
  5. (PUMP) Set the valve to RINSE. Start the pump and run until the sight glass is clear again. Turn the pump OFF.
  6. Return the valve to FILTER and start the pump. Done — you are back to normal running.
NO CHECK VALVE?
Close the isolation valve before step 2 and reopen it before step 4. Do both or neither — never start the pump against a closed valve.

Winterizing

Drain and winterize the filter and pump. To drain the valve itself: turn the pump OFF, then park the handle between any two positions for the off-season. On valves with a marked WINTER setting, use it — it is the same thing.

Limpieza de rutina

  1. APAGUE la bomba.
  2. (SOPLADOR) Ponga la válvula en BACKWASH (retrolavado). Encienda el soplador de 10 a 15 segundos para soltar el lecho de la media filtrante, y apáguelo.
  3. (SOPLADOR) Ponga la válvula en RINSE (enjuague). Encienda el soplador hasta que solo salga aire y ya no salga agua del filtro. Apague el soplador — el filtro queda vacío.
  4. (BOMBA) Ponga la válvula en BACKWASH. Encienda la bomba y déjela funcionar hasta que el filtro se llene de nuevo, salga agua por la línea de retrolavado y el visor se vea claro. APAGUE la bomba.
  5. (BOMBA) Ponga la válvula en RINSE. Encienda la bomba hasta que el visor se vea claro otra vez. APAGUE la bomba.
  6. Regrese la válvula a FILTER (filtrar) y encienda la bomba. Listo — el filtro vuelve a su operación normal.
¿SIN VÁLVULA DE RETENCIÓN (CHECK)?
Cierre la válvula de aislamiento antes del paso 2 y vuelva a abrirla antes del paso 4. Haga las dos cosas o ninguna — nunca encienda la bomba contra una válvula cerrada.

Preparación para el invierno

Drene y proteja el filtro y la bomba. Para drenar la válvula: apague la bomba y deje la palanca entre dos posiciones durante la temporada fría. En válvulas con posición WINTER marcada, úsela — es lo mismo.
